Toronto's Yorkville Nannies' Fees, Rates & Hourly Schedules

$1195 + HST Full-time permanent placement
$595 + HST Part-time (Under 30 hours a week) permanent placement
$395 + HST Two-month temporary placement
$195 + HST One-month temporary placement
$95 + HST Per-week less than one-month temporary placement
$30 + HST Booking fee (after viewing files and before booking appointment; credited back to client upon hiring through Yorkville Nannies)

Required Minimum Wage (valid as of March 31, 2010)

The minimum wage is currently set $10.25/net/hour with time and a half required for every hour over 44 hours per week:

a. $10.25 per hour for 30 hours per week (minimum hours required for Live-in caregiver program)
b. $10.25 per hour for 40 hours per week
c. $10.25 per hour for 44 hours per week
d. $10.25 per hour for 48 hours per week (maximum hours allowed for Live-in caregiver program)

Live-In Caregiver pay schedules: Minimum of hours required in the Live-In Caregiver program is 30 hours per week.

Live-Out Caregiver pay schedules: The most common wages for Live-Out, Full-time nannies are $480, $550 and $600/net dollars per week. Typically, this covers between 45 - 50 hours a week depending on the type of agreement made.

"Room & Board:" Currently, this amount is $369.42 for Live-In caregivers; this is the amount your family can deduct from your taxes.

Taxes

CCRA (Revenue Canada) has an excellent program (Tables) which will allow and help you to quickly calculate the gross and net wage salary. Visit Canada Revenue to download this information. Keep in mind that rates change twice per year, on January 1 and July 1, and you will have to adjust your deductions accordingly.
